Privacy notice
In short: we ask for what we need to sort out your order, quote or message, use it for exactly that, pass it only to the services that help, and never sell it.

What we ask for, and what for
| When | What we ask for | What we use it for |
|---|---|---|
| Ordering turf | Name, email, mobile, postcode, your delivery address if you choose delivery, the day you pick and any access notes | Taking payment, getting your turf ready, delivering it or handing it over, and updating you on the order |
| Asking for a turf laying quote | Your name, how to reach you, your address and postcode, and extras like garden size, a date you'd like or photos | Pricing the job and talking it through with you |
| Sending a message | Name, contact details, postcode and your message | Replying to you |
How we'll be in touch
About your order, quote or question, and about related services when you've agreed to that on one of our forms. That could be email, a phone call, a text or something similar.
To change how we contact you, or to stop it, just get in touch.
Who else is involved
Card payments are handled by our payment provider, and your full card number never reaches us. Our order and enquiry systems hold your details so we can act on them, and anyone working with us, drivers included, only sees what their part needs. If you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity learn how our website is used, but not what you ordered.
Your details aren't sold or handed to anyone for their own marketing, and they'd only be shared otherwise where the law demands it.
How long we hold them
Order records: 6 years, for our accounts and any later questions. Messages and quote requests that never turn into an order: 6 years. Photos of your garden: 6 years. When we lay a lawn we may photograph it before and after, as our turf laying terms say.
What you can ask us to do
Ask for a copy of what we hold on you, ask for it to be put right, or ask for anything we no longer need to be deleted, through our contact form. If you're not happy with how we've handled your information, tell us first; the Information Commissioner's Office also takes complaints.
Cookies are explained on our cookies notice.
Who's in charge of your details
Washington Turf, who trades as Washington Turf, controls the personal information you send through this website. Post: Newcastle upon Tyne. Email: info@washingtonturf.co.uk.
