Terms of sale
This is the agreement between you and us when you buy turf through our website. Paying for an order means you accept it, so it's worth a read first.

When is my order confirmed?
When our payment provider accepts your payment. Our order form takes you through the amount, collection or delivery, and the day; the moment payment clears, we have a contract and you'll receive an email confirmation.
From then on, your order is committed. We arrange turf for your date and set aside your delivery or collection day (that's the day, not a set time), and we may say no to other customers for that day because of it. So check the amount, postcode, address and day before you pay.
How are prices worked out?
Per roll. One roll covers around 1 m², and the price per roll depends on which quantity band your order sits in; our order form shows it as you go. Delivery is charged by postcode. Whatever total appears before payment is what you pay, and collection orders pay for turf alone.
We take the full amount when you order, via our payment provider. Your full card number never comes to us.
How late can I order?
Order by 2pm the working day before your delivery or collection at the latest, but please order as far in advance as you can to avoid disappointment. On occasion, later ordering may be possible where a date shows as available.
Can I cancel or change my order?
Because turf is perishable and cut for your particular day, the 14-day cancellation period for online orders doesn't apply, and an order can't be undone once it's placed.
Should your plans change, get in touch through our contact form quoting your order reference, and we'll do what we reasonably can. Whether we can help is our decision, and help takes the form of a credit note, never money back. Changing your mind doesn't qualify for a refund.
How does collection work?
You collect on the day you booked from our pick-up point by Newcastle Airport. It's by booking only, and your confirmation email gives the address and how to get there.
Bring a vehicle that can safely take the weight, and load with care. Turf left uncollected on the booked day won't keep, and the cancellation section above applies.
How does delivery work?
We deliver to your property or the closest suitable and accessible point. We'll always leave your turf in the most convenient place we reasonably can, where it's possible and safe. On occasion we may not be able to leave it exactly where you'd prefer. Rolls stay outside at the property: our drivers don't carry them through houses or garages, down side paths or into back gardens. Nobody needs to be home.
Tell us about access and parking when you order, for example narrow lanes, gates, tracks or restrictions. If something we weren't told about stops the delivery, we'll be in touch to agree what happens next and tell you about any extra cost before charging it.
You'll get a message as your turf heads out and another after drop-off, although they won't always arrive at the very moment it's set down.
What should I check when the turf arrives?
Every roll you've paid for is counted out. Do your own count too, and give them a look over.
Collecting
Do your count before driving away from the pick-up point. After you've left, we treat the order as complete and right.
Delivered
Do your count once the rolls are set down and before laying starts. If something's wrong, let us know that same day and include a picture showing the rolls where they were put down. When laying begins, or if the delivery day ends without word from you, we treat the order as delivered in full and in good condition.
Rough edges
A machine lifts and rolls the turf, so frayed edges, little tears and the occasional roll in pieces are part of fresh turf rather than faults. They join up once the lawn is laid and watered.
Looking after it
As soon as your turf is set down at the property (or the nearest suitable point) or you've collected it, caring for it, watering it and laying it are down to you.
Is every roll the same?
No two are identical, because turf is a living crop. Sizes are approximate, and the colour and texture shift with the weather and time of year. Lay it on the day you get it. How it establishes comes down to preparation, watering and aftercare.
What if something outside your control gets in the way?
If extreme weather, frozen or flooded fields, a vehicle problem or another cause beyond our control means we can't harvest, deliver or have your turf ready on the day, we'll get in touch and arrange another day.
Your legal rights
None of this affects your statutory rights.
We may change these terms in future; your order follows the version shown here on the day you paid. English and Welsh law applies.
What if you lay the turf for me?
Then your written quote and our turf laying terms apply in place of these terms.
Who am I buying from?
